"The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story and writes another." noted J.M. Barrie. The story he most famously wrote was that of Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up, and without meaning to do so, wrote his own.

Dooming himself in childhood to act the part of his much-loved dead elder brother, acting and a love of drama were to lead him to wealth and fame, but not happiness.  Like his hero, he never grew up, not physically, not emotionally and not sexually.

Our program looks at the man and his works, as well as his involvement with the family that provided the immediate inspiration for the boy from Neverland, a family whose history was to prove as tragic as his own.
