The Handley Page Victor was the third and final V-Bomber that provided Great Britain’s nuclear deterrent during the Cold War.

Also modified to take on strategic reconnaissance duties, the Victor eventually became an airborne refuelling tanker when the Navy’s submarines and their Polaris missiles assumed the deterrence mission in 1969.

Here, you may witness the Victor crescent winged air-to-air tanker refuelling other Victor aircraft in action with 55 squadron of RAF Marham, and be a party to the most spectacular shots ever taken of this most majestic of aircraft including footage from the tanker pilot’s eye view of mid-air encounters on the now famous Victor snake climb.

This shows what it takes to get the aircraft into the air and what is involved in air and ground crew skills.
