BUCHENWALD 1937 - 42
This program documents the events of Buchenwald camp ‘37-’42, where prisoners were savagely punished for the slightest infraction of the rules; the guard dogs enjoyed better living conditions. Every aspect of life within its fences a torture where mistreatment by the guards was not only encouraged, it was compulsory.

BUCHENWALD 1942 - 45
Herman Pister’s installment as new  commandant in 1942 only escalated the horrors committed there. The atrocities committed at the camp were only brought to light by its US liberators in 1945, and the desire for revenge saw the camp guards hunted down and made to publicly stand trial for war crimes.
